Davis took the New Orleans Pelicans to playoffs for the first time in four years. Individually, he scored a player efficiency rating of 30.8, which has only been exceeded by three players in basketball history: Wilt Chamberlain, LeBron James and Michael Jordan.
To create this impressive series of photos, photographer Dustin Snipes had to create a minute-by-minute choreography of poses. Each pose had to be timed correctly in order to capture the sun at a certain position in the sky -- as tricky a challenge as the ones Davis faces on the NBA court.
