Pam Glew is definitely an artist to look out for. I mean, how many other artists do you know that paint celebrity portraits with masterful execution onto flags?

Pam Glew is a British artist who, according to her personal website, "uses dye and stitch to paint, deconstruct and distress vintage materials in her own breed of painting." That perfectly describes the visual aesthetic she's achieved as she manages to attain photorealism with her portraiture, but there's still an air of fantasy to her work. Some easily recognizable celebrities in Pam Glew's portraits include Kate Moss, Marilyn Monroe and Michael Jackson.

Implications - Consumers enjoy patriotic products because they feel their nationality is a defining factor of their identity. Corporations may consider including patriotic motifs into their wares to entice potential consumers into buying their products.
