SOLDIER Presents the Passport Series of Artful Looks

London-based athlete and artist SOLDIER presents the Passport series, which is his latest look that details his Nigerian heritage and connection with the Nigerian police. He has been brutally stopped on the streets of Lagos and aims to mark these unjust experiences through art.

The concept is to highlight the factor that his skin color does not determine his rights and the series clarifies that legal documents are a right for everyone. There are four canvas paintings that make up the series -- all of which include a look at West African passports that are accented with discolored details to reflect the unjust nature of the system. The images see an airplane Capitan along with five stewardesses wearing uniforms that read SOLDIER AIR posing along the paintings.
