Ouzo Thoukis Packaging Expresses a Natural Lightness of the Liquor Within

An image is not necessary when branding a product, but it can help significantly to catch consumers' eyes. Ouzo Thoukis packaging displays a really clever illustration that symbolizes the root of the product and the spirit of it as well.

George Tzavaras and Marios Karystios are responsible for the pretty and pure brand identity of master distiller Thoukis Kiprianou's original 1929 formula. The alcoholic beverage itself keeps to the "true-to-botanicals experience," so the designers made a point to do the same with the label.

The pimpinella anisum, or the anise plant, is the primary ingredient in the clear liquor's recipe. Ouzo Thoukis packaging features an adorable illustration of this iconic species, complete with a slender stalk, spreading arms and fluffy seed heads escaping with the wind.
