The Outer Chair has a thin spiralling design that makes it look as though it were made out of spun web. Considering how strong such thin yet silky lines are supposed to be, it wouldn't be that surprising it if were. Of course, the Outer Chair would be messy to sit in. Thankfully, it is fashioned out of metal.
Designed by Alex Dorfman, a designer based in Evansville, Indiana, the Outer Chair was made in Copenhagen, Denmark, while he studied abroad there. Paying homage to the simplicity of Danish design, the Outer Chair essentially brings the dining seat outdoors. In spite of its minimalist nature, the design of the seat is mesmerizing. It is made up of rotating squares that is pretty hypnotic.
