The Ori Light Series is at Once Whimsical and Structured

The Ori Light Series is as once structured and freeform. A collaboration project between Producks design studio and textile designer Mika Barr, the collection's starting point was the latter's Folding Apart fabric. Sporting a geometric pattern that allows the material to fold according to the lines, which give it an inner structure, the resulting form is cloud-like. Nevertheless, as whimsical as the silhouette may be, the details are much more grounded.
The name of the Ori Light Series is particularly apt. 'Ori' means folding in Japanese while 'Or' translates to light in Hebrew. Although the lamps are given the same shape to begin with, the fabric allows the owner to play with it on his or her own, thus customizing the lamps in the Ori Light Series to suit individual homes.
