Traditionally Designed Multi-Tool Knives

The Opinel DIY Knife Blends Classic Form with Function

Opinel knives have been staple pocket companions for centuries, but the recently released Opinel DIY knife infuses the time-honored design with some modern multi-tool upgrades. The profile of the knife keeps the classic Opinel design but replaces the traditional wood handle with a fiberglass-reinforced polymide. The handle also features cut-outs that allow for two screwdriver heads to be stored. At the rear of the Opinel DIY knife is an insert for each screwdriver head that allows the user to use the entire knife as a tool.

The blade of the Opinel DIY knife maintains the same Sandvik 12C27 modified stainless steel used in all Opinel knives. The steel allows the blade to be anti-corrosive and gives it excellent edge retention. The blade of the Opinel DIY is fairly unique, as it includes a wire cutter and wire stripper.
