New branding for Onyx Coffee Lab has a distinct Day of the Dead feel. Designed by BLKBOXLabs, the new coffee packaging for their whole and ground beans is part of a larger, fresh rebranding. The Día de Muertos-like skull and black field gives the product packaging a pirate feel, while still looking modern and appealing.
According to BLKBOXLabs, "the typography and brand marks were all hand drawn to illustrate the raw craft of roasting coffee." The unique packaging for Onyx Coffee Lab was chosen to separate it from their competitors in the emerging craft coffee world.
The packaging also includes the coffee company's Facebook and Twitter handles, in addition to their website url, so people are more likely to engage with the brand online.
