Dried Flower Embroidery Décor

Olga Prinku Creates Lush Everlasting Arrangements For Home Decor

Olga Prinku uses white tulle as the base for her intricately designed floral arrangements. The former graphic designer creates and preserves lush arrangements of seedpods, berries, and other organic materials, resulting in botanical cottage-themed home decor items.

The artist forages the florals from surrounding areas. Once dried, Prinku fastens them to mesh webbing and encircles an embroidery hoop with elaborate patterns and figurative renderings of birds and flowers. The pieces mimic the motifs found in nature, particularly those most prevalent in eastern European folklore. The North Yorkshire-based artist ties aspects of her heritage into her work, making for unique and meaningful pieces.

Prinku offers tutorials and teaches workshops for those interested in learning the botanical craft.
