Created by Niklas Hamann and Jakon Schwarz who are both in their masters programs at the HTW Dresden in Germany, the 'FLOAT' Sustainable Stool is an innovative office seating solution that makes working a workout. Traditional office chairs can make midsections quite weak because they don't require any work when sat in. However, the 'FLOAT' Sustainable Stool is designed with pivot points to give sitters a way to workout while they get some work done.
Working with a ball bearing system to provide fluid movement without too much resistance, the 'FLOAT' Sustainable Stool works the muscles of the pelvic floor and abdomen for easy fitness. Although there's no word on availability just yet, the 'FLOAT' Sustainable Stool would surely make a great office seating solution for many workplaces around the world.
