Single-Pedal Electric Cars

The Nissan e-Pedal Replaces the Need for Two Separate Pedals

Drivers have used two or three pedals in their car to accelerate, brake and shift gears for many decades, but the Nissan e-Pedal aims to change this process. The new pedal design is set to debut in the new Nissan Leaf that will be released in September and combines the functionality of the gas pedal and the brake pedal in one. This enables drivers to apply pressure to go forward and ease off to brake to eliminate the need to shift your foot around from pedal to pedal when driving.

The Nissan e-Pedal is reported by the car company to be suitable for use in about 90% of driving scenarios and will come in the new vehicle as an option that can be turned on.
