Known for his intricate, and difficult work, Nikolay Polissky decided to push his own limits and create a towering 72 foot sculpture.
He called this piece Beaubourg, and it has willowy arms that reach out from the base and work upwards. In order to contain such a massive installation, there is a steel base that is in the middle. On the outside, Polissky has weaved birch twigs together and that is what has created the natural looking effect.
The sheer size of this piece is what is incredible. The time that would have to go into creating a gorgeous sculpture this size is astounding. Nikolay Polissky has managed to shock us all again, and has created a massive, and beautiful sculpture.
