Interactive Kinetic Sculptures

This Dynamic Sculpture Takes Its Cue From Tide and Wind Data

BREAKFAST, a world-renowned new media artist studio that has captured many eyeballs of late by putting together some of the world's most innovative and forward-looking installations that can claim to be a part of numerous prestigious institutional and private art collections, has lifted the curtains off a wonderful kinetic sculpture that can boast the status of being the world's biggest kinetic artistic sculpture.

Dubbed 'The Pearl,' this kinetic sculpture is 14 meters tall and 15.3 meters wide and is designed to model and pay tribute to ocean aesthetics as exemplified by waves, breezes and the ever-moving surface water. Arranged in a Fibonacci pattern, the tiles that make up this kinetic sculpture aim to mimic both the ocean and its inhabitants.

Located on Royal Caribbean's 'Iconic of the Seas' ship, this kinetic sculpture's movements change based on real-world data on tides and wind, making it a fine example of dynamic art being influenced by the natural world.
