Apple launched a three month News+ trial for Black Friday weekend. The News+ trial typically lasts one month, however, the extended trial will be available to users in the United States and Canada. Following the three month trial period, users will be charged $10 USD per month to access the news service.
The extended trial period may entice more users to sign up for the premium news service, especially those who have previously considered it. Following the trial period, the company hopes that a large portion of users rely enough on Apple News+ to retain the service.
Apple News+ features content from a number of different leading news organizations. Content on the platform spans various topics including sports, entertainment, science, lifestyle and more.
