Hitting a pothole can severely damage your vehicle, so the new suspension system on the 2017 Ford Fusion V6 Sport is designed to sense them and react accordingly.
The onboard computers within the 2017 Ford Fusion V6 Sport are constantly analyzing signals coming from sensors in the vehicle to adjust the dampers constantly. When a pothole is detected, the new suspension system will adjust things accordingly to prevent damage and reduce the impact that the passengers feel.
Aside from a new suspension system, the 2017 Ford Fusion V6 Sport features a 2.7L twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 engine.
The vehicle's new capability is explained by Jason Michener: "The new Fusion V6 Sport substantially reduces the harsh impact potholes often deliver. Our new pothole mitigation technology works by actually detecting potholes and ‘catching’ the car’s wheel before it has a chance to drop all the way into the pothole."
