Mattel Canada is Launching 15 New Ken Dolls as Part of 'The New Crew'

After Mattel Canada launched its 'Fashionistas' dolls last year, which featured a range of different body types, skin tones, eye colors, and hair types, the brand is working to broaden its range of males with a line of new Ken dolls.

Dubbed 'The New Crew,' the collection represents men from all over Canada. A total of 15 new Ken dolls make up The New Crew, with each boasting an appearance that's different from Barbie's original blonde-haired and blue-eyed boyfriend. Like the Fashionistas dolls, the new Ken dolls have diverse body types, skin tones, eye colors, and hair types. In addition, the dolls come dressed in modern ensembles that speak to current fashion trends.

With this, Mattel Canada increases its appeal among parents and children who are interested in seeing more diversity in their toys.
