The NASA Future Flight Experience Will be at the Super Bowl LI in Houston

Houston has long been the center of space travel in the US, and NASA Future Flight is an experience that continues that tradition — albeit virtually. The experience, which has recently been announced by the Houston Super Bowl Host Committee, will be available to all those who attend the upcoming Super Bowl LI.

NASA Future Flight will combine virtual reality with a ride in the real world to provide a thrillingly accurate depiction of travelling to Mars. The experience takes just over two minutes in total, so it's obviously much shorter than an actual trip to the red planet. However, because of the collaboration with NASA, many of the other details are extremely accurate, including actual footage from Mars for a portion of the experience.

The virtual reality ride also includes a 90-foot drop in real life, giving Super Bowl attendees the physical sensation of landing a spacecraft.
