The NFL and 'StatusPro' are Developing a VR Football Game

The National Football League (NFL) has announced a new partnership with 'StatusPro' whereby the two entities will collaborate on the development of a VR football game. This game has yet to be named, but will be available on two popular VR platforms; the 'Meta Quest 2' and the 'PlayStation VR' platform. This game marks the NFL's "experimental" push into an "emerging space," according to Joe Ruggiero, NFL's SVP of consumer products.

This game will immerse players in the experience of being a professional NFL competitor. While previous NFL games, such as Madden, feature a bird's eye view style, this upcoming game will allow players to assume the first-person control of a professional football player. This game will create a new level of virtual sports immersion that is previously unseen in the space.
