Gaming-Inspired Food Partnerships

Nanak Foods and Nintendo of Canada Debut Their Collaboration

This Diwali season, Nanak Foods and Nintendo of Canada are launching an innovative collaboration that blends cultural traditions with modern entertainment. The partnership offers Canadian families a unique way to celebrate the festival of lights.

The partnership centers around pairing Nanak Foods' authentic South Asian sweets and snacks like Rasmalai and Aloo Tikki with Nintendo Switch 2's family-friendly gaming experiences. From August through October 2025, consumers will have the opportunity to enter a contest for a chance to win Nintendo's latest console bundled with popular multiplayer titles.

For both brands, the partnership represents a culturally-aware marketing approach that acknowledges how holiday traditions evolve while maintaining their core values of family bonding and joyful celebration. The console's new GameChat feature, for example, enables long-distance family connections during the holiday season. This feature may be particularly meaningful for diaspora communities with relatives abroad.
