Flexible Modular Pod Systems

Boss Design Introduces the Scalable Mews Plus Capsule

Boss Design has expanded its Mews collection with the introduction of Mews Plus, a modular pod system designed for North American workplaces. This innovation allows architects and designers to create customized enclosures for focused work, team collaboration, and meetings without the permanence or cost of traditional construction.

Boss Design's modular pod system offers larger format configurations beyond the original Mews lineup. The construction also meets ADA accessibility standards without requiring ramps or specialized furniture. Mews Plus can be installed, reconfigured, or relocated as organizational needs change over time, with customization options spanning layout, footprint, finishes, glazing, power integration, and curtaining.

Dan Chong, President of Boss Design North America, shared: "At its core, Mews is about giving designers and clients the tools to create workplaces that can respond to change. With Mews Plus, we're extending that capability—supporting larger teams and more dynamic ways of working, without losing the quality and comfort that define the system."

Flexible Modular Pod Systems
Modular, relocatable pods create a new product category that compresses renovation timelines and capital expenditures by substituting permanent construction with configurable enclosures.
Inclusive Accessibility Integration
Designs meeting ADA standards without additional ramps or specialized furniture open pathways for universal-access workspace modules that broaden market adoption and compliance simplicity.
Scalable Collaborative Configurations
Larger-format, reconfigurable layouts support shifting team sizes and hybrid workflows, prompting platforms for plug-and-play AV, power, and privacy integrations.

Where This Applies

Corporate Real Estate
Property managers and occupiers may leverage movable pod inventories to optimize square footage utilization and adapt lease layouts without structural alterations.
Architecture and Interior Design
Design firms face opportunities to specify pre-engineered pod systems as repeatable, code-compliant elements that shorten project delivery and reduce site disruption.
