Colorful Modern Industrial Factories

Waterfrom Design Adds Color Pops to a Building in Taiwan

Taipei-based studio Waterfrom Design turns a 30-year-old building in Taiwan into a modern industrial factory. The client is a producer of water dispensers and is entering into its second generation of ownership. The idea behind the refurbishment is to create a contemporary aesthetic that communicates a youthful spirit and a progressive attitude. With all information on deck, Waterfrom Design embarks on the project with the determination to facilitate an accessible modern industrial factory that is interesting and engaging.

The firm uses strong pops of color that decisively stand out amid the grey-everything in the space — from the cheerfulness of the yellow raining to the decisiveness of the red chairs. In addition, Waterfrom design pays tribute to the client's area of expertise through the use of "construction materials [that] reflect the processes involved in filtering water."
