The Mobiltels Concept Unfolds into Solar-Powered Luxury Hotel Suites

The Mobiltels concept by designer Michael Jantzen reimagines luxury hospitality with foldable accommodation units that transport by trailer and deploy on-site. Designed to minimize permanent impact on natural landscapes, each guest unit expands into two hotel-style rooms with private bathrooms, individual outdoor decks, and a shared rooftop deck shaded by solar panels. The units generate their own electricity and use dedicated solar panels to heat water, allowing them to operate independently of utility infrastructure.

The concept also includes a fold-out café with kitchen facilities, restrooms, and multiple outdoor dining decks, alongside a collapsible gathering pavilion for communal events. Each structure folds into a compact trailer for transport, enabling an entire resort to be assembled, relocated, and removed with minimal disruption to its surroundings. The design proposes a flexible hospitality model that can adapt to changing landscapes while reducing the need for permanent construction.
