Apple has recently approved the first global iPhone application called “Postino.â€
This new app allows iPhone users to send high-quality paper printed postcards worldwide for a flat rate. “Postino†is cheaper than sending a typical postcard, as it is only $1.99 for a single “virtual stamp.â€
The downside to this new app is that there are less excuses for not sending postcards to friends and family while on vacation!
Implications - A large proportion of today's ever-evolving society depends on their cell and smartphones to carry out a wide range of personal and business endeavors. As businesses are able to equip these devices with more services and capabilities, the number of dependent clients will increase. A business that can provide both convenient and unusual functions will see big returns from tech-hungry clients.
