The updated version of the Starbucks app includes a pilot program for mobile ordering, specifically in coffee-obsessed Portland, Oregon. This service lets those with the app bypass lines without having to scan their phones. Over the next year, Starbucks will continue to roll out more options including a daily coffee order and timing your order to when you are in the right place during your morning commute.

As 16% of all Starbucks purchases in the United States are made using the mobile app, hardcore Starbucks addicts will appreciate the opportunity to skip the line.
