Massive Tribute Flash Mobs

12,000 Fans in Mexico City Celebrate Michael Jackson's Birthday

August 29th would have marked Michael Jackson’s 51st birthday and fans all over the world paid homage to the King of Pop in celebration.

Mexico City held a massive flash mob that attracted more than 12,000 participants as they danced to Michael Jackson’s hit ‘Thriller’ in the streets.

Led by Hector Jackson, a Michael Jackson impersonator, the flash mob had fans dressed as the King of Pop and some even as zombies to mimic the ‘Thriller’ music video.

The Guinness Book of World Records is currently trying to determine how many people participated from start to finish before declaring them as the new record holders. The current record sits at 242 people.
