Giant Metallic Cat Sculptures

Artist Selçuk Yılmaz Created a Massive Metal Lion Sculptur

Turkish sculptor and artist Selçuk Yılmaz has created an incredibly beautiful and detailed metal lion sculpture.

The process by which this metal lion was created required the hand-cutting and hammering of almost 4,000 pieces of metal scraps. This metal lion sculpture took almost a year to make, but it was clearly worth it, as the final product exhibits a high level of detail and craftsmanship that make this metal lion look almost real. Selçuk Yılmaz calls his metallic lion Aslan (which is Turkish for lion) and it weighs roughly 550 pounds or 250 kilograms, which is 150 pounds more than an actual lion.

Artists like Selçuk Yılmaz are able to dedicate themselves to their work, and while I'm sure the process may have been arduous and tiring, you can't argue with the results.
