MediaXplain is a media agency in Amsterdam, who recently hired two firms (i29 and VXM) to build a trendy location for its offices. The result is a chic design that takes full advantage of the views, and focuses on not obstructing this natural beauty.
The office also uses inspiration from the past and present surrounding the location, as that is a prominent theme. There is quite a bit of new development in the area, however there are still plenty of reminders as to what the location used to look like. As such this aesthetic has also been preserved with the MediaCplain office, taking on an industrial influence. In terms of natural light, this space receives plenty because of the large glass facade on one side, making it easier to feel closer to the outdoors.
