Some may find that glass chandeliers are too conventional and outdated but the Mecacocoon Lamp by Wuithier Gael is not of the typical sort.

This wooden lighting fixture offers a unique twist to traditional pendent lamps. In its caged design, it would fit into a lofty setting to match an industrial decor. What's great about this hanging lampshade is that it's made from ecological material, offering a raw and naturistic feel. Timber strips make up it's caged form letting the light bulb showcase itself through the slits and it also creates a sunburst shadow effect of bright rays lighting up a room.

The Mecacocoon Lamp by Wuithier Gael is currently a prototype but it's definitely a great concept and design thus far.
