McDonald's is one of thos mega brands that just never quits. Case in point: McDonald's McTV. The chain is launching this television channel across southern and central California to expand on its entertainment platform.
The McDonald's McTV is a high-definition television channel that will feature segments -- running from 90 seconds to 20 minutes long -- of exclusive content. The content will comprise local news, sports, fashion and music, among other major topics like the Olympic Games. There will also be profiles of local high school and college athletes as well as "Mighty Moms" -- those women in the community who are balancing families and sports careers.
Set to launch in almost 800 restaurants across California, including Los Angeles and San Diego, the McDonald's McTV initiative is part of the brand's larger marketing strategy, which aims to target customers through entertainment and technology.
