McDonald's is currently testing out a new line of flavored syrups for its coffee and espresso-based drinks called the 'McCafe Flavor Shots.' While the company already uses flavored syrups to make a number of its specialty drinks, the expanded menu gives customers even more choices for crafting customized drinks.
The new McCafe Flavor Shots consist of flavored syrups that can be added to the chain's various coffee and espresso-based drinks. There are nine unsweetened and sugar-free shots that range in flavor from Irish Cream to Coconut. These shots add between zero to 10 calories to each drink. On the other hand, there are three sweetened varieties, which include Hazelnut, French Vanilla and Caramel. These shots can add between 70 to 150 calories to each drink, making them the more indulgent option.
While the expanded McCafe Flavor Shots menu is not available nation-wide, the new syrup options have been spotted in Maine, Connecticut, Massachusetts and parts of New York.
