The sculptures of Matteo Pugliese are cemented into the wall and look as if they’re trying to break free.
These metallic men appear to be half embedded into the wall and half emerging naked, as if they're being born. It’s almost as if they are traveling through a time vortex or breaking out of the spirit world. Most of them are reaching for something, perhaps even their own freedom from whatever lies on the other side of the white wall. If these figures even came to life maybe they could tell us what was so urgent to get away from.
