Mather's Cafes Host Speed Dating and Wine Tastings for Boomers

Senior community centers usually bring to mind monotonous Bingo sessions, but Mather's Cafes are reimagining what communal spaces for seniors can be. Instead of the boring activities that we've somehow agreed must be fun for seniors even though they're not fun for anyone else, Mather's Cafes offer engaging activities like speed dating, wine tasting, and sushi-making classes.

Beyond sessions centered around fun activities like drinking and socializing, Mather's Cafes offer full restaurant menus so that seniors can come to socialize with one another even when there aren't scheduled activities going on. The cafes are also designed to help seniors with their daily lives, offering in-person and over-the-phone classes for anything from wellness and education to live music, sports talk, and storytelling.
