With a wave-inspired ceiling, the Masrah Al Qasba Theatre is the brainchild of Magma Architecture.
The highly practical interior of this construction boasts an interesting avant-garde aestehtic. Located in the United Arab Emirates, this theater was renovated to resemble the landscape of the Sharjah. The wave-like ceiling is made up of spandex and aluminum rods that bend and move according to its computerized control center.
Though this facet is artful in its look, it is does not skimp on practicality. It houses the space's lighting and can be altered to optimize guest comfort. With its sand-dune resemblance and functional facets the Masrah Al Qasba theatre is one-of-a-kind. A seeming blend of the past with futuristic motifs, this performance space is captivating and fantastically unconventional.
