This Maison Margiela Couture Collection Boasts Adornments in Thread

For the Spring/Summer 2017 Maison Margiela couture show at Paris Fashion Week, renowned editorial and runway makeup artist Pat McGrath created a series of unique makeup looks to complement the looks by designer John Galliano.

Just as a few strings of white thread were draped across the body of a red coat modeled by Mayowa Nicholas, the faces of a few models were accented with actual pieces of thread, rather than makeup that would be just as capable as creating similar results when viewed from afar.
