You might expect the 'Magic Restroom Café' to be located in Asia, but this novel toilet-themed eatery a new place to eat in Los Angeles. The restaurant was inspired by a Taiwanese restaurant of the same nature, complete with porcelain throne seats, walls lined with tiles, urinals and shower fixtures to create an authentic washroom-like atmosphere.
What's even more shocking is that the dishes are served in toilet or urinal-shaped bowls and presented to customers on trays that look like tiled floors.
This type of restaurant has proven to be quite popular in Taiwan and first-time restaurant owner YoYo Li is hoping to have the same good fortune in Los Angeles. Although this restaurant will definitely offend some, Li describes that it is "rather crude, but it's all in good humor."
