This Luxurious Ski Hotel by Bjarke Ingels Group is for Audemars Piguet
Kalina N — April 14, 2018 — Art & Design
Exquisite Swiss watchmaker Audemars Piquet taps into famed Bjarke Ingels Group for the development of an extravagant and luxurious ski hotel. The Audemars Piguet Hotel des Horlogers is like no other since the building design boasts a zig-zag structure.
Situated in the scenic Vallée de Joux, Switzerland, the luxurious ski hotel offers patrons a one-of-a-kind experience during their winter vacation. The elaborate design of the building inconspicuously ties into the hilly landscape of the resort. The zig-zag pattern extends from the bottom to the roof and beckons "guests to descend on skis toward the trails of the Vall de Joux" from their room. The end of the zig-zag path ends with the Watchmaker's Path which is informed by a famous journey from Vallée de Joux to Geneva.
