The 2019 Luminato Festival brings a traveling installation to the Harbor Front in Toronto. Designed by Christian Wagstaff and Keith Courtney, the House of Mirrors is described as "a reality-bending, sensory-altering, mind-dizzying experience." The sculpture capitalizes on the perception-challenging qualities of optical illusions by arranging mirrors in a maze-like manner to stun and engage with audiences.
The Luminato Festival brings the North American debut of this immersive installation which weighs over 55 tonnes. The mesmerizing experience is fit for all ages and it will surely be an exploratory opportunity for the public. Accented by timely performances, the House of Mirrors installation poses questions like what is and what is not real within the physical space.
