Altus Architecture + Design created a low-lying residence that reflects the aesthetic of "a wooded site in Minnesota with glazed and cedar walls." Dubbed 'The Woodland House,' the project involved the optimization of an architectural structure that embraced the surrounding greenery of the wetlands, while still fitting the needs of modern living for a single-family.

In addition to the low-lying residence, Altus Architecture + Design also designed a detached stainless steel shed that offers an integrated mirror effect. Through mixed material use, the concepts of good design, as well as inspiration drawn from sustainability principles and spatial awareness, the architectural studio was able to achieve its goals of "capturing dramatic views and optimizing natural light."
