Back in 2012, The Lowline was announce. The subterranean park to be located in an early 1900s underground trolley terminal in New York City’s Lower East Side neighborhood received crowdfunding in 2014 to build a prototype. A year later and now the team is raising funds again to build the Lowline Lab, an even bigger prototype that will be open to the public.
What makes the Lowline Lab so incredible is the fact that it will be powered by natural lighting through a series of high-grade mirrors and tubes to collect and distribute.
