Reflective Forest Homes

Los Terrenos is Covered in Mirrored Glass Paneling

Los Terrenos, a home in Casa Ventura on the southwest side of Monterrey, Mexico, sits in a highland forest. In order to make the most of those verdant views for the residents while still providing a degree of privacy, the home's outer walls are primarily made up of reflexive one-way mirror glass, giving the occupants unobstructed views outward while creating a captivating design for those approaching the home.

From the exterior, Los Terrenos is almost perfectly mirrored. It reflects the dense foliage that surrounds the home, making it almost disappear into the forest, which in turn reduces the home's visual impact on the environment. For the home's residents, the design makes it feel as though they're living directly amid nature.
