Firmenich Pionneers Perfume Delivery Technology for a Long-Lasting Scent
A long-lasting scent is a key motivator of consumer purchasing decisions when it comes to any aroma-infused product on the market—from cleaning supplies to skincare and hair. Aware of this, Firmenich revolutionizes the market with two delivery perfume systems that allow for "optimal balance of perfume hedonics and intensity of dry substrates."
The first of the lot is dubbed PopScent® which consists of "core shell polymeric capsules" that contain the perfume which is released onto the skin due to "naturally occurring physical forces such as movement, rubbing, combing, etc." The second of the long-lasting scent innovations is the HaloScent® which consists of two bonded perfume molecules that are susceptible to "natural triggers" such as oxygen, light, or heat. Once exposed, the molecular bond breaks and the perfume molecule is released gradually over time.
