Givaudan Launched the PlanetCaps Biodegradable Fragrance Capsules

PlanetCaps by Givaudan will now be used for the company's fragrance capsules as the brand pursues its sustainability initiatives. Givaudan has launched biodegradable fragrance capsules using the PlanetCaps, which were originally used by the company exclusively in its laundry care line.

The flavor and fragrance giant aims to meet the dual needs of sustainability and fragrance longevity with its new capsules. PlantCaps offer customers bespoke biodegradable fragrance systems ahead of the European Chemicals Agency's (ECHA) restriction proposal on microplastics, beginning in the new year.

Maurizio Volpi, Givaudan's President of Fragrance & Beauty explained that "Givaudan has already been leading the industry with a range of options for fabric softeners allowing them to perform brilliantly and smell delightful."
