With the world's eyes firmly fixed on the Vancouver Olympics, we shift our attention to the upcoming 2012 London Olympics and one of the shortlisted designs for the London Aquatic Centre.
This design for the London Aquatic Centre to be housed in Stratford, East London and comes to us from Make Architects. It boasts two sunken pools, a training pool, a sports science facility and a gorgeous, curvaceous lightweight roof.
All we know is that this stunning facility would make an excellent Olympic venue, especially for the much-hyped swimming events. However, if they intend on having this design of the London Aquatic Centre--or any design, for that matter--ready for 2012, they'd better hurry up and break ground!
