Zaha Hadid Presents the Capital International Exhibition Space

— March 4, 2025 — Art & Design
British design firm Zaha Hadid Architects introduces the Capital International Exhibition and Convention Centre, which is defined by fluid shapes and ribbon-like bridge structures. It is known to be the largest convention center in Beijing and was developed to facilitate the growing number of international conferences in the city. The space is made up of nine exhibition halls, three reception areas, a hotel, and a large conference center.

Zaha Hadid Architects speaks about the design, noting, "Conceived as 'ribbons' that weave together all the facilities, bridges above this central courtyard also connect the exhibition halls, conference centre and hotel to provide indoor circulation between event spaces. The movement of people, goods and vehicles through the Capital International Exhibition and Convention Centre is divided into three distinct routes to aid circulation, provide optimal adaptability and avoid disruption to different concurring events."
