Freelance illustrator and set designer Amy Harris has recently created a number of handmade cut-out logos for brands such as Argos, Drench and Big Yellow, highlighted by the London based agency CHI and partners. By taking the traditional and well-known logo and key color palettes associated with the brand, objects and figures connected with the consumer experience have been integrated into the installations allowing the personality of the company to shine through.
This branding method allows potential customers to see not only the brand that they know and love, but also if the objects are chosen carefully, it could allow the brand to be viewed in a new light -- taking into account the ethos and social initiatives surrounding the company.
Implications - This is the continuation of the trends towards sustainability through acknowledging and utilizing traditional handcrafts through advertising and branding. There is an innocence about the presentation, implying that the objects displayed portray a more honest and real view of the company.
