Salesforce has recently announced that it will add integration to the Lightning Order Management system, which will allow organizations to organize different orders in a more streamlined way. Salesforce also stated that integration for Lightning Order Management will come to the platform sometime in February.
The Salesforce VP of product management, Luke Ball indicates that the new tool will allow users the ability to, "fulfill, manage and service their orders at scale,”. Ball also states the company's awareness that not all organizations that utilize Salesforce do so exclusively, as many orders will include third parties in the process. This is why efforts have been made to tailor the system so it is compatible with different tools form other services.
