This performance-focused tool analyzes historical sales data to generate order recommendations and help merchants avoid stock shortages during peak periods while also reducing excess inventory during slower seasons. Unlike standalone forecasting solutions, the Seasonality Forecasting feature within the Lightspeed Insights platform is integrated into the point-of-sale (POS) system, further streamlining the experience.

Lightspeed Commerce's new tool carries the potential to address inaccurate demand forecasting and minimize operational inefficiencies, which cause merchants to spend an average of 20+ hours weekly on inventory tasks.
