Cardboard Origami Cars

This Lexus IS300H Sedan is Crafted from 1700 Pieces of Cardboard

Traditionally, vehicles are crafted from a whole lot of metal and plastic, but this Lexus IS300H Sedan is made from an unexpected material: cardboard. Created using 1700 pieces of laser-etched cardboard, the Lexus IS300H Sedan, formally dubbed the Lexus Origami Car, was created in collaboration with LaserCut Works and Scales and Models of London.

At first glance, the Lexus IS300H Sedan Origami Car looks interesting, but it's really only upon closer inspection that one can appreciate the fine detailing that has been used. Layer upon layer of cardboard was intricately glued together using a water-based adhesive to create a vehicle that, inside and out, reflects Lexus' attention to style and detail. Surprisingly, the Lexus IS300H Sedan Origami Car is able to drive, if only forwards and backwards.
