Originally launched as a financial budgeting website, LearnVest has finally come out of hibernation and has rebranded itself as a "free financial education" website. This relaunch continues the focus on millennials and college students and has replaced the site's online tools and financial planning offerings with a twice-weekly newsletter of articles. The articles offered by LearnVest ranged from basic financial planning advice to various aspects of budgeting for life.

Owned by Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance, LearnVest was ultimately rebranded and relaunched as a means of returning to the company's roots. The new LearnVest may not provide the direct tools for financial planning, but its collection of advice and articles is designed to educate and empower people who are at the start of their financial journey.”
