Vancouver's Sabores CDMX Festival Celebrates Mexico City's Fare

Sabores CMDX is a traveling Latin food event that has made past stops in Minneapolis, Houston and most recently Vancouver, Canada. Inspired by the tastes and flavors of Mexico City, the food festival celebrates the urban center's culture and introduces North American audiences to its most popular dishes.

Launched by Mexico City's tourism bureau in 2015, the event targets gourmet food fans and promotes authentic and artisanal eats with a cultural flair. Lead by chefs Mario Espinosa, Gerardo Vazquez Lugo and Jose Manuel Banos, Vancouver's version of the Latin food event included stops at local restaurants like Burdock & Co, Cacao and Homer Street Cafe and Bar where the culinary experts collaborated with resident chefs Andrea Carlson, Jefferson Alvarez and Tret Jordan.
